the most important story of the campaign and the media missed it!

Wow,
Such an important matter, so revealing in the presidential race, and yet the press completely missed the story, preventing people from knowing what kind of President McCain would be and increasing the likely hood of world war three.
They say Obama is the media darling and is getting the lion's share of coverage. Well this is in McCain's favor, for if the press bothered to cover McCain in depth we would see how wrong he is for the job of president. Or if the press challenged the lies he tells in his ads and on TV. (so many lies that are easy to check with facts, just ridiculous, but that is another story)
The story I am talking about involves the recent conflict in Georgia. And what got me all upset and needing to blog was what I heard people on the radio saying. I was listening to BBC and they had two "experts" discussing the Georgia conflict and how it effects McCain and Obama in the presidential race. They both agreed that McCain came out early (before the white house or Obama) to talk tough against Russia. They said it turns out he was right to that so he is the big winner in the situation and Obama is just trying to play catch up.

Excuse me while I call bull-shit. They missed the story on so many levels. Without knowing any details I am not impressed by someone simply talking tough - that is the kind of talk that gets us into wars. Obama, in my opinion was much more diplomatic, especially in the beginning when no one knew who started what or what exactly was happening. Once more facts were known and Obama spoke out against Russia's over reaction, the press said he was playing catch up to McCain. And of course the press did not call McCain on his obvious contradiction when he said "in the 21st century nations do not invade other nations".

but then you get into the FACTS and there are very important details that the American public should know if they are to make an informed decision this November.

These details that the press ignored are vital to the story.

Included is the fact that McCain's senior foreign policy advisor, Randy Scheunemann, was director of the Project for a New American Century, was one of the neoconservatives who engineered the war in Iraq and the idea of pre-emptive war, and for four years was a paid lobbyist for the Georgian government.

That on its own is a lot to digest. Every time we turn around we learn another one of McCain's top advisers was a PAID LOBBYIST, and he claims to be above that stuff. (Remember, if it wasn't for McCain it would be the Keating 4)

Worse his senior foreign policy advisor was director of the Project for a New American Century!!!! That right there is one of the most important details my friends. This group of neo-cons which included Rumsfeld, Wolfowtiz, Cheney, pushed the idea that the US must establish world military dominance by fighting three theater wars simultaneously, that we needed to pre-emptively attack our enemies - Iraq in particular, and that (in 2000) they recognized the need to have a "new Pearl Harbor" to get the US public behind such radical plans.

In fact, Scheunemann headed the Committee for the Liberation of Iraq in 2000.

IS THIS WHO WE WANT RUNNING OUR GOVERNMENT FOR ANOTHER FOUR YEARS???

Now the story gets stickier as we look into the fact that Karl Rove visited the president of Georgia, Mikheil Saak’ashvili, three months before HE STARTED the recent military conflict by taking military action against separatists groups. Now certainly Russia over reacted in their support of these separatists. But it is not a clear cut case of the little country of Georgia being bullied by Russia. John McCain's claim "we are all Georgians" was a little strong, since their president Saak’ashvili took military action against these separatists is not a perfect leader of a perfect democracy. He is known to be volatile and is a darling of the Neo-cons because he is a believer in the free market, allowing corporations to do what they please, and because his country plays an important role in the oil industry as well as as a pawn in the new cold war with Russia.

McCain has pushed hard to get Georgia into NATO, which would mean we would be obligated to fight Russia, if Saak’ashvili started another military confrontation. Now it is easy to speculate that Rove and company encouraged Saak’ashvili to take military action. Rove knows better than anyone that a new war with Russia, or at least the threat of such a possibility, would help his party win the white house since they have mastered the fear and war politics of persuasion.

Now Cheney has visited Saak’ashvili, to further the argument for Georgia's inclusion in NATO and to put us further in the path towards another cold war. Problem is, with McCain in the white house, with his known temper and disregard for human life (yes you could call him a war monger - remember "Bomb, bomb, bomb....bomb, bomb Iran" and "maybe that is how we can kill 'em" (referring to the people of Iran) and the fact that his chief advisers WANT WAR to both prove we are in charge of the world, and to make tons of money (for these neo-cons are invested DEEP in the military industrial process so war is good business) just might take the cold war and heat it up a bit.

and now he has a running mate who thinks the Iraq war was a mission of God.

Pray there is a God and that she helps us defeat these guys!
